Wisconsin

Sunday

Last weekend we were introduced to the beauty of Wisconsin.

Prior to visiting the Madison area, I really hadn't given Wisconsin much thought as a vacation destination.

What could be so odd about Wisconsin?
In just two short days, our gracious hosts, Patty and Rob toured us in and around Madison, brought us to The Taste of Madison Festival, State Street, The University of Wisconsin, The Student Union and then a small town called New Glarus, just outside of Madison and not to be missed when in the area. It's dubbed "Little Switzerland" and I can understand why.

Was it the late summer weather? The tranquility of the countryside? The cleanliness of Wisconsin? Yes. All of that combined made for a great getaway but the hospitality of Patty & Rob couldn't have been beat. I also learned that my friend, Patty is an incredible cook! Strange how you find these things out when you stay with someone at their home.

I agree that Wisconsin is completely under-rated. I went there about 3 or 4 years ago for a motorcycle rally and it was great fun.
